Este proyecto en desarrollo es una exploración del cuerpo, principalmente de la piel como superficie cambiante y capaz de albergar memoria. Encuentro interesante la similitud entre esta “superficie” y otros cuerpos, en este caso, con la corteza de los árboles. A través de dípticos, establezco relaciones entre estos cuerpos por medio de elementos o marcas que son compartidos y que pueden ser momentáneos o, a veces, imborrables, como las cicatrices. Landmarks tiene la intención de acercarnos a la naturaleza e identificarnos con otros cuerpos no siempre humanos.
This ongoing project is an exploration of the body, mainly of the skin as a changing surface capable of holding memory. I find interesting the similarity between this “land” and other bodies, in this case, the bark of the trees.
Through diptychs, I show connections between these bodies, by means of elements or marks that are shared and that can be momentary or, sometimes, indelible, like scars. “Landmarks” intends to bring us closer to nature and identify us with other bodies, not always human.
